Footprints

One night I had a dream, I was walking along the beach with the Lord and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

In each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand and, to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of life there was only one set of footprints.

And I noticed that it was the lowest and saddest times in my life. I asked the Lord about it, "Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You would walk with me all the way. But I noticd that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints, I don't understand why You left my side when I needed You most." The Lord said, " My precious child, I never left you during your time of trial. Where you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

記得我第一次讀這文章時，還不是基督徒，但卻被這短短的對話，深深感動。神的愛是主動、盡力和超乎我們想像的，而我們又多麼容易不明白神，對衪的愛有懐疑。

前些時候，給我找到了一本 簿面印有 "Footprint" 的日誌，自然十分興奮。想起我很多時仍忘記了神的愛，而去倚靠自己的能力和手所作的。心中記掛和忙著處理不同的事情，每天祈禱也是怱怱的，忘記神有力量也願意背著我行呢。於是，用了這本日誌寫下我的祈禱，叫自己常走到神的愛裏。
